WHO ARE STUDENT AFFAIRS?

Student Affairs is the department responsible for all things related to student life--both academically and socially. The department is primarily made up of two offices: The Student Service Center (SSC) and the Academic Office (ACO). Both teams are based in the main campus building on the upper floor, past the cafeteria.

Student Services

The Student Service Center (SSC) aims to enhance the student experience by providing a wide range of support services in a warm and welcoming environment.

The SSC can help you with: 

  • Settling into life in Vienna. 

  • Campus orientation and getting familiar with your studies at Modul University. 

  • Staying updated on university events, extracurricular activities, and volunteer opportunities. 

  • Participating in seminars and workshops outside of regular coursework. 

  • Engaging in volunteer work through the MU Cares program, both internally and externally. 

  • Connecting with alumni and industry leaders through job shadowing programs, excursions, and career events. 

  • Crafting your CV, cover letter, and receiving career counseling. 

  • Obtaining or replacing your student ID card. 

  • Purchasing items from the MU Shop. 

  • Initial advice and assistance on personal and academic matters during your studies.

ACADEMIC OFFICE

The Academic Office (ACO) is responsible for academic-related administrative services, including course registration, course scheduling, graduation, and much more.

The ACO's Responsibilities:

  • Course scheduling and semester planning 

  • Managing academic records 

  • Academic counseling 

  • MU Language Program coordination 

  • Online course registration administration 

  • Dean's List certificates 

  • Annual graduation ceremonies

Services Offered by the ACO:

  • Curricula and course information 

  • Leave of absence, special considerations, and credit transfers applications 

  • Study program changes and university withdrawals 

  • Appeals for university decisions 

  • Repeated course failure consequences 

  • Document requests (please refer to our Guidelines on fees for document fees)
