In Austria, since 2014, all students at private universities form part of Austrian Student Union (Österreichische HochschülerInnenschaft - ÖH). Upon enrolling, all students pay a nominal membership fee for this. Representatives at every university are then elected on a yearly basis and act as advocates for students’ interests.
